Living on Campus

Living on Campus

At Mount Mercy, living on campus means setting up a home away from home and blending your academic life with your social experiences.

Living in the residence halls immerses you in campus activities and eases your transition to college. Incoming traditional freshmen are expected to live in campus housing during their first six semesters of full-time attendance.  Students who live on campus tend to be more engaged in campus activities and graduate at higher rates!

Campus Communities

Since this may be your first time away from home, we want you to feel comfortable on campus. Our housing process pairs students with others who share their interests and promotes engagement with others that may expand your world view. Our communities promote engaged and reflective learning in and out of the classroom.

Not only will you engage with your fellow community members, but you may take classes together, do service projects together, and have a group of friends to explore everything else campus life has to offer:

If you have questions about where you'll live, how we can help, or anything else, don’t hesitate to contact the Residential Life staff by email at or 319-368-6469.
